Fanciful costumes, sinful candies and treats, and things that go bump in the night: Halloween is too much fun to be strictly for the kids.
Strawbery Banke, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, invites the whole family to its popular Halloween event, Ghosts on the Banke. Long-dead sea captains, 17th century shopkeepers, and wayward pirates haunt the streets as children are able to trick or treat safely at each historic house.
At the event, which takes place on October 30 and 31 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., visitors will also be able to explore the Witch’s House and Lost Souls’ Tavern, listen to ghost stories, marvel at the Great Bonfire, eat spooky snacks, and much more. Admission is $6 or free for members. It is sure to become a favorite Halloween tradition for your family.
