On February 20, Governor John Lynch presented Baron's Major Brands Appliances with the award for the 2008 New Hampshire Retailer of the Year. The award is presented to a New Hampshire retailer who has achieved significant success and growth, and provides excellent customer service.
Each year, the Retail Merchants Association of New Hampshire (RMANH) presents a retailer in the state with the award. RMANH supports retailing locally and at a state level, and their business makes significant contributions to their local community.
"This year's Retailer of the Year, Baron's Major Brands, is a family owned business that has succeeded and grown for over sixty years in the most competitive of retail specialties: appliances," said Nancy Kyle, President of RMANH. "Against intense competition, Baron's has succeeded through enlightened employment practices, happy, well-trained, sales help, excellent service in the store and in the home; and the parts and expertise to repair all of their products."
Baron's Major Brands has professional showrooms in Concord, Laconia, Salem, and Plaistow. Formed in 1966, RMANH serves as the voice of retailing in the state and concentrates on preserving New Hampshire's successful retail climate.
